very pleased November 5, 2008 blues picker I bought this printer to replace a very old Lexmark. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. Easy and quick to set up - and having read reviews, I was set with a USB cable. The print quality seems excellent to me, although anything made in the 21st century had to be an improvement on it's predecessor. Prints photos, and documents to a very high quality. So far no complaints whatsoever.
nice printer but October 1, 2008 Mr. A. Archibald 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good solid printer, was able to attach via network. However developed fault in paper feed recently after about a year or so of fairly light use.
Poor value for money September 15, 2008 Liquid 4 out of 12 found this review helpful
It simply provides poor value for money at 75.20. It doesn't copy or scan or fax or have built-in wireless, it doesn't even include a very cheap USB cable which most people need to use this out of the box! The Canon Pixma 3-in-1 options are far superior.
A lot of printer for the money July 7, 2008 Michael (Oxfordshire, United Kingdom) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I've been buying Epson Stylus printers for the past 6-7 years, and both my previous purchases started to pack up once they reached the 3 year mark, generally becoming more and more quirky (refusing to feed paper, funny splodges on the page, etc), so this time I thought I would try an HP. The main reason I bought this specific printer was because it had good reviews as a general purpose printer, but it also seems to do a pretty good job with photos. I also didn't realise until I bought it that it had a built in Ethernet port (plug it into your router and you've got wireless printing!), Picture Bridge (I can plug my Canon Ixus into the USB port on the front and print directly from my camera). It has a separate feed slot for envelopes and photo paper, as well as a fixed paper tray. You can also plug in a Bluetooth adapter, to print from your camera phone (if you want to go in for all that nonsense - why bother : ))But the thing that has really impressed me is how quiet it is, relative to both my old Epson printers, and how quick. It's not far off Laser Printer speeds when printing emails, etc. And what's more, this is the first time I've ever bought a printer for under 100. I've yet to see how it will fare after 2-3 years, but I'm pretty impressed so far. Bargain!
Great wireless network printer! April 25, 2008 Kathryn Clark (West Yorkshire) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I took delivery of my HP deskjet this morning. It has taken 1.5 hours to get everything up and going. Which in my book is pretty good! I have installed it using the ethernet cable into my wireless router, and then wirelessly onto 2 Windows Vista PCs, one XP PC and one XP Laptop. All 4 computers are connecting to the printer and working fine. The build and print quality look really good too. I have had Epsons for the last 20 years but got fed-up of replacing them an an almost annual basis! So this is my first HP printer, and so far I am impressed with the ease of use and setting up on my wireless network. Had a quick look at ink cartridge costs too, and they appear to be cheaper than the Epson ones.
