Great value product June 14, 2008 James Smith I have 2 of these cables, one for xbox 360 & one for a sony free view DVD recorder connected to Samsung 52" lcd tv. The picture is perfect, i see no reason why you should spend any more money on a cable as it will not improve the picture quality. I have had no issues with this product, the connections are sturdy and the cable has a quality look and feel. The only thing that may be a problem is the length, this is not an issue for me as my dvd & xbox are on the tv stand shelf under the tv.
thick taut cable June 6, 2008 Graham Seacy (UK) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
HDMI cables are great and most of the reviews here refer to the better picture etc you get with HDMI. However there is no difference in picture quality with this cable than a cheaper HDMI cable (or I guess a more expensive one as it is a digital signal). Some problems with this cable; The thick plastic ends of this cable mean that it will not fit flush in the back of my Sony TV. The thick taut cable at only 1.2 meters is easily dislodged from the back of the TV. It comes packaged in the most difficult to open sealed plastic pack I have come across (pictured, like it's a good thing!). I guess the heavier more bulky cables will have these same problems. Mine is going in the bin in favor of a lighter thinner HDMI cable.
HDMI Cable 24k May 21, 2008 Mr. A. Richmond (England) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This cable does the job perfectly. I would strongly suggest this over spending 50 - 100 at Comet / Currys for similar product.
Good quality affordable cable April 28, 2008 M. Meads 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
There's a bit of a debate in the industry as to whether there's any difference between budget and premium HDMI cables. Whilst i don't want to get caught up in the science side of things, i think we can all agree that a well made cable is always a plus. This HDMI cable has a strong housing for the cable and solidly moulded terminations, whilst these may not improve the signal quality you can guarantee it won't harm it, and will provide a good solid long-lasting cable that won't suffer from connection problems later in life, and should also avoid the twisting effect you can sometimes get when bending cheap cables and losing signal. This LINX HDMI Cable proved a very successful addition to my system, i used it for connecting my PS3 to my monitor and it worked a treat. Picture quality is great as i'd expect, but the build quality is equally impressive for a budget cable (I paid less than a fiver for mine) and well worth buying for all your HDMI sources unless your system warrants spending 50 on a Chord or Cambridge Audio cable. Buy with confidence!
Not recognised by my Sony Bravia April 27, 2008 Robert (United Kingdom) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bought a new Sony home cinema system to go with my Sony Bravia and bought this HDMI cable to connect the 2 together. My TV does not recongnise the HDMI.
