a secret about wacom March 12, 2008 K. P. Stoddart (uk) i dont know if this works with all graphics tablets, but it does with mine. if you take off the clear plastic covering (very easily, as there are simple catches on the underside) you can increase the available surface area to the full size of the device, rather than the small window. i dont know if this will damage it in the long run, but its certainly worth a try.
I cant believe Amazon still selling this item!!! October 10, 2007 Mr. A. Barroso Gonzalez 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Yesterday,I had to return to Amazon my second unit, both with the same fault...the pen stopped working!!!Wacom didnt test the endurance of this product...to my defense,I work mainly at home, and the tablet does not suffer from life on road punishment. Top marks for AMAZON, who proved once more that they are Number 1 in Customer services so far with a quick and efficcient reply and solution to my problems. That's why I still recommending Amazon to all my mates.
Definately one of the best buys for an artist! July 12, 2007 Sa James (Scotland) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I love digital art, because I'm useless with traditional mediums ;) But one of the trickier parts is that a mouse is nowhere near as easy to use as a brush or pen. Thus "graphics tablets" are a must. -I had the original Gprahire MK1, which looked like a toy compared to the sleek MK4, and was somewhat "iffy" in use: problems with drivers and such, not major, just not as good as it should have been. However, the Mark4 is a LOT better than the MK1. -Highly recommend this to anyone, although pricey, it is very smooth and pleasant to use. Install was without problems, no driver or other problems so far, pleasant to use in handling and effect. So over all I am very happy with this tool!

i really wanted to try some graphic design on my computer and i was looking to put in about 3 hours a day into my drawing patice witch instantly put the trust tablets out the window since i would off needed to meany batterys so i was certen that wacom was the tablet for me thow they where really expensive i didnt really feal i could graphic design with an A6 pad... so i bought the cheapest A5 wacom tablet even thow wacom clames that there graphire tablets are only really for picture editing i had no problems working with this tablet at all and now i have my A5 pad i am so glad i didnt get an A4 one the A5 pad is about as big as a 15 inc monitor so pefect for anyone with monitors 20 inc and under A4 would be to big anyone looking to give graphic design a shot cant go wrong with this pad
A great piece of equipment October 4, 2006 Kirsty Legg (Dundee, UK) 34 out of 34 found this review helpful
Like many people, especially fellow students, i was quite put off by the price of tablets larger than a6. I did own a Wacom a7 tablet, but felt that the time was right to buy a bigger one. I am not sorry i did. It not only looks sleek, its very uncomplicated to work. I had no problems during installation, and the tablet is working perfectly. The end of the pen acts as an eraser, which is very handy. I have had no problems with jittering cursors etc it has a nice transparent but strong protective case, which is better than the thin film on other tablets as it is sturdy, and prevents scratches etc on the actual tablet surface. All in all, the price is the worst thing about the Wacom's, but it definitely is a case of you get what you pay for. I'm glad i didn't settle for a lesser brand now
