I bought the HP Pavilion entertainment PC last year in July. It is only now that i have noticed it developing a few problems. It has a real problem with doing many tasks, for instance if you are browsing the internet and trying to listen to music it will slow down and distort the tracks.
The good points are the amount of extras it comes packed with but the face that it is sooooo slow is very off putting. Stick to an Intel Machine.

The toys are fun, its mainly why I brought it, they are fun but I think I got too drawn in and should have got a sensible laptop, or a macbook. I did not think about the fact that you can run Windows on a Mac.
The screen is really good quality, but I would like it an inch or two bigger, but I have an old monitor to connect it to so its all good.
So think carefully about the screen size it is only 12.1 inches and the light shines off the screen like a mirror, I have just purchased a privacy screen to reduce the glare. I have not got it yet but I hope it works. Apart from that it is a good laptop.

I bought the 2070ee in Dubai (it seems to be exactly the same spec & price as the 2050). I wanted the upgrade to 4GB but only 3GB showed in the memory module test after installing on the shop model, so decided against it. Solutions welcome.
Speakers aren't as wonderful as you might have hoped on an Entertainment PC - it sits next to my Qosmio & can't compare on the enternainment front - although weighs in considerably less (I knew you'd be surprised). The screen, I assume because of extra protection, is not as impressive as some laptops.
Handwriting recognition takes a little effort & practise but after using it in meetings & for taking notes over the last few weeks I haven't looked back. It works as well as you might expect. The Toshiba equivalent seemed more attractive in that you could convert from handwriting to text, and then back again, at the touch of a button. But this was harder to find (ie I couldn't), heavier and more expensive. I played on a Colleagues. Worth looking at especially if its an office tablet you want. I wanted this one for home & travelling rather than the monster known as "Qosmio".
Wireless connects well as does the bluetooth and easily connects to a Bluetooth PAN in order to share network connections. Plenty of USB for those external HDD's. Have trouble connecting to some websites that the Qosmio (XP) easily connects to, but haven't worked out if that is Vista or the Norton Security it ships with.
Yes it can run a little warm so and I have at least once accidentially swithched it off whilst using it in tablet mode. The power button is a sliding affair and catches easily.
Overall, very happy with the laptop. I can write quicker than my two fingers can play the keyboard and I can squiggle drawings etc into the documents with ease. So far everyone in the office who has played with it wants to trade their laptop in for the same. For the price and the specs you are hard pushed to find a laptop that fits so much in.
As with anything, depends what you want in a machine. I wanted to write and not type - it does what it says on the tin. For weight the Sony appealled as did the Mac Airbook, but as I couldn't have everything, this TX2000 has most of what I was looking for. It does not dissappoint.
