I bought these speakers along with 8G nano and leather case for partners birthday.
They will be used for holidays and bedroom.
I unpacked them and tried them out in the living room whilst she was at work and was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and volume.
Even at full volume they did not distort.
Got some bass distortion on some dance tracks but ipod eq is set on bass boost.
Remote control can increase or decrease Bass,Treble,Volume etc and also let you browse music without touching ipod.
To sum up they are not Bose, Klipsch or Griffin which you would buy for the living room ,but for the price and compact size and what we intend to use them for they are quite simply amazing.
I can now wrap them with complete confidence.
Delighted.

I wanted a speaker dock for my ipod Nano 3G and after considering some much more expensive products I chose this one, mainly on the strength of the comments from other Amazon customers. It's easy to set up (although I was unsure what to do with cushion pad - doesn't seem to be necessary with a Nano) and easy to use. The remote control allows you to access all the menu functions as well as controlling the volume and levels of treble and bass. The sound quality is extremely good for such a compact unit and you can really crank the volume up if you're in the mood. I have listened to pop, rock, classical and audiobooks and they all sound great! Buy with confidence.

I did a lot of research before buying these speakers. I was looking for a set of speakers that were portable enough to take away on holiday, but ones that would provide good sound quality and be used instead of a stack system. When I read the reviews on the Intempo speakers, I was persuaded to buy them. I cannot believe the sound quality. For less than 45 these speakers are amazing. They produce sound that is every bit as good as our Sony stack system which cost over three times as much. They look good too. If you are looking for a set of portable ipod speakers, stop looking and buy these!

I purchased a JBL Onstage II five months ago for my son. It only worked for 5 months before the volume control failed. Amazon did not stock anymore but offered full refund. Well done Amazon, no hassle. I replaced it with this new Intempo docking system, arrived today and my son really happy, better sound, easier to use, even better value. He said it looks good too. And you know its got 2 year guarantee, even better.

Excellent for a smallish room. Loses a bit of base in a larger room (mine 22ft by 12ft), although have not noticed any distortion. Sound is clear, controls are all good and looks very stylish. Wife complains it is too loud, and can hear thumping a bit through the floor (must be a good sign). At 45 excellent value for money.
