I bought this phone just recently. Being pretty new to Skype, I was buying a bit blind and didn't want to spend too much. Functionally, the phone is excellent - it connects consistently to my home network and has been pretty good with WiFi hotspots too. BUT the battery life is woeful, and if I leave the phone switched on for any length of time it gets hot to the extent that it's almost too hot to hold. To date I've been getting about 1 hour of standby - but almost double that if I'm actually making calls, bizarre or what?! That said, the battery life is slowly increasing, so maybe the battery is just a bit tempremental.

It's a little frustrating that it doesn't work as a USB phone as well, and there seems to be no way to get the speakerphone, identified in the manual, to activate.

Would I recommend it? Probably yes - the freedom to make and receive calls over the internet without the hassle of being tied to a PC is definitely worth the snags, though I hope the technology will improve soon enough to persuade me to upgrade...
