Not Mac Compatible - very disappointed September 3, 2008 johndglynn (Northants UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Similar situation to the other reviewer. I had this machine hooked up to my PC and was very handy, but when I decided to go to Mac it transpired that the scanner would not work with my iMac, contrary to what I had been promised when I bought the printer a few months ago. So now it has to go, to be replaced by something that will work with the new computer. Not pleased is an understatement. Other than the scan problem I love it, would not change it for anything. It's a real pain to have to get rid of it.
Not fully Mac compatible despite what Canon advertises!!!!! June 6, 2007 Pompompom (London, England) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Canon presents this printer as Mac OSX compatible. Unfortunately, you will only find PC drivers as you open the box. You can find Mac drivers on the net after some searching, except for the scanner. I contacted the customer service and they informed me there were "no Mac drivers for the scanner available at the moment"! So basically, stay away from Canon if you use Macs, whatever the products specifications say! I won't make the same mistake twice.
