Global knives really are brilliant knives, but to save disappointment please ignore the advertised picture.
The item being purchased on this is a "5-piece set", meaning that it has 4 knives and a rack. It does NOT have the breadknife on the left of the picture in the set.
This "Special Edition" set contains a G-2, GS-5, GS-11, GS38 and the 31cm rack only. That breadknife in the picture is a G-9 which costs another 80 (approx) and has to be bought separately.

Always wanted a decent set of knives, but was worried whether the cost was justified, so finally took the plunge and bought the Global 5 piece set. It's a great starter set, and includes all the knives you could need for everyday use. The GS-5 vegetable chopper and GS-38 paring knife get the most use in my kitchen, but all bar the GS-11 utility knife will see regular use. They blades are far sharper and do hold an edge longer than a 'normal' knife - the hype is to be bellieved. A must buy is the minosharp water sharpener to keep them in tip-top condition - unless you can use a steel, then you would need to purchase one of Global's steels, don't use a normal one! One point to note though if you're considering buying extra knives, the 31cm magnetic wall rack will struggle to hold more than an additional small knife, you would need to purchase a longer one. These knives are well worth the money.
