It definitely works November 23, 2008 Billy The Baker When I was going to bed after midnight Thursday, a mouse ran across the floor in front of me. Straight back to computer, booted up, and ordered some snap traps from somewhere. Then I started reading about how sometimes they don't always kill outright and the results can be messy. So, after further investigation I ended up at Amazon and ordered this rat zapper by express delivery. On Friday morning when I had a good look around, the mouse had gnawed through into a container of multi-grain flour. I left the flour in situ but made sure everything else was properly sealed. Saturday morning, more nibbles at the flour and some mouse droppings, but also my rat zapper arrived. Batteries in (after an often mentioned struggle) then I baited it with a half teaspoon of said flour and a quarter of a dark, chocolate digestive biscuit. I removed the contaminated flour container and put the zapper in its place, switched it on then went to bed about 22.30 Saturday. Woke after a restless night at 04.40 and went through to visit the condemned cell. GREEN LIGHT SLOWLY BLINKING ON TOP! Inside, one mouse corpse ready for the mouse undertakers. This thing most definitely works for mice and I hope it has nipped my problem in the bud. I've rebaited it and left it switched on just in case. Thank you Amazon for speedy delivery of an excellent product which really does the job.

Anyway....i purchased the zapper last wk...n juz got it today...well 3days after purchase....and within 3 hours...i got da little Fface!!..i no"it sounded kinda harsh...bt they r freakin me out...i dnt feel safe to walk round da house...givin me a panic attack...! Faulty machine? October 29, 2008 Saurabh Mittal (London) I bought this machine in the hope that the rats would be killed and my house would be safe - given that I have a 5 months infant. However, after weeks of waiting, I notice that the bait is gone and the rat droppings are still very much visible. I read other reviews and realized that middle plate is the one that emits shock. Decided to test the machine myself, with a bit of hesitation, touched the plate nearest to the open end first, nothing, no shock. Kept my hand there for a few seconds, still no shock. Got brave and touched the middle plate, even kept my hand on it for long time, still no shock. The machine does turn on by showing a green light and a distinct hum as well. Am gonna read the returns section and send it back to Amazon now.
It Works! October 23, 2008 Tigger (Leeds,UK) What more can you say? Ok the batteries are a pain to fit but when you eventually do it works a treat. You can rid yourselves of the problem in a humane way and no mess so you don't have to come down to a decapitated body in the morning. I was dubious at first but out of desperation had to get this device as we are plagued with mice. Great stuff!
DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE!!!!!!!!!!!! October 4, 2008 Stephen Humphris (London) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought one and after leaving it on for one week it stopped working. It costs 6 to fill it up with batteries. I thought it has used all the battery life in one week so i bought more batteries but the device had short circuited or something. So i returned it via Amazon (who have a very effective return process) and had another one delivered. I put my new batteries in the new device and this one did not even turn on! What a complete waste of time and money.
