I bought this mower to replace my 10 year old hover which had died. This mower is excellent - quicker, easier and will cut wet grass better than my old mower. I bought this mower on the strength of the reviews and I have not been disappointed. The only problem I have now is that I'm having to empty the collection box so quickly I spending a bigger portion of my time running back a forward to my compost area.

I have recently purchased this lawnmower after reading the reviews on Amazon. My last lawnmower was a Flymo which was about 5 years old.
Having just used the Rotak 40 for the first time, i am amazed at how well it has cut my grass compared to the Flymo. This mower seems to cut the grass instead of ripping it like the Flymo. The Rotak also gets much closer to the edges.
The only reason I have given this mower a 4 instead of a 5 is that it would have been nice for Bosch to have installed an easy wind in cable assessory rather than having to wrap the cable around the handle bars which Flymo do provide. Apart from this the Rotak is head and sholders above the Flymo in its cutting. Maybe Flymo will pick up its game now that someone else is coming into there market.....

I bought this mower about 2 months ago after my ageing Qualcast finally died. I am VERY impressed with the ease at which it cuts my very uneven lawn....even on the lowest setting it does not "scuff" the grass. Build quality is good, it is light and the grass collector is a good size. I would recommend this mower without hesitation. EXCELLENT !

I bought this to replace my 14 month old Flymo Roller Compact 340, which fried itself after 14 months.
The Bosch Rotek 40 performs superbly, cuts right up to the edge, has a huge 50 litre grass box, is quiet, and comes with a 2 year warranty.
When I get a little lazy and 'forget' to cut the grass for a few weeks in the summer, the Rotek 40 cuts through with ease!
Without doubt the best mower I've had in 20 years.
Highly recommended.

Superb mower, bought yesterday (Homebase) - mowed around 100 square metres plus of short/medium/long grass, some uneven ground. The mower coped with all very well on 3rd lowest setting (of 10). Great mower, very light and handles can be set nice and high so no backache.
Only minor drawback is grass box opening is a bit small for letting cuttings out, but this shouldn't detract you from buying.
