This lamp is simply the best you can buy for less than 30. I bought this almost a year back, and it still delivers fine. The light is bright enough to light up my entire study!

I have bought 3 of these lamps and two have broken at the very weak plastic hinge mounts. None of them stayed in the horizontal position regardless of how hard the clamping nuts were tightened. All 3 are going in the bin to be replaced by traditional anglepoise lamps (with critical moving parts made of metal)!.

the products is good qualit although I just got it few weeks ago. HOWEVER THE PRODUCT IS NOT AS DISCRIPED. IT WAS OBVIOSE WHEN I recieved it that it has been used the package itself says that CLEARLY although I ordered new one?.the springs are quite lose and the light too, what a freaking dishonest, Amazon knows that most customers will not going through return procedures which is quite annoying.if you know a shope close to you carries out such products I think you better go to it and make sure you got yourself proper one.

I bought 5 of these for my office and they were delivered promptly and were well packed. However 3 of the 5 in the batch were faulty in one way or another and contacting the company to arrange a return and credit was not at all easy. So very disappointed all round and went somewhere else for my office lamps

If you are going to position the lamp and leave it you will probably be happy with this item. If you need to adjust the lamp on a regular basis this isn't the one to buy. The lamp swivel connection to the support arm on mine did not rotate when I assembled it and a SLIGHT pressure to try and free it cracked the plastic fitting. Other reviews that mention a weakness in the arm securing clamps are absolutely right. This lamp provides good light and looks the part but like many of Micromarks products in my experience it will break quickly with use.
