pretty good for the money December 2, 2006 L. Hewitt (Norwich, England) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had two of these toothbrushes in the last 6 years, the reason I have had two is because they've both packed up after 3 years. I agree with all the other reviews, it is a very good toothbrush for the money although I could never work out what the pressure sensor was all about either (think it's a marketing ploy). For this reason I won't be buying another one, but I might buy a different model and see if that packs up after 3 years as well!!!! I'm sure it's no coincidence that the warranty is for 3 years......
Does the job - really well October 26, 2006 Scampo (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We bought this to replace a rather ageing Philips and was not expecting to feel the need to write a review, but no, either our Philips was worn out completely and we'd forgotten what it was like when new or this Braun 5000 is someting else. It certainly buzzes away at a very fast speed, far faster than the Philips and - without doubt - makes your teeth feel much claner. The feeling is that the "3D" action is what is causing this as this brush, with the 7000 and higher models, is unique in having this. Whether the teeth are cleaner, of course, is impossible to tell - but they certainly do feel like you have just come from the dental hygienist! A definite recommendation.
Braun Oral-B Professional Care 5000 Rechargeable Power Toothbrush September 5, 2006 parsley 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Good toothbrush, holds charge well & the timer is useful. However I cannot get the pressure sensor to work. I think I must have a malfunctioning one, either that or the spec is wrong.
Excellent Toothbrush February 5, 2006 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This toothbrush is really good, it gets to them all important areas, and the timer on it is a good touch, the only drawback i find with it is the charge time, i run the toothbrush totally out of life, but then it takes over a complete day to charge, this is why I gave it 4 star!!and also the price is amazing considering i seen it for much more at other retailers!!
electric toothbrush January 24, 2006 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
A recent uncomfortable visit to the dentist for a check-up and clean was an incentive to try an electric toothbrush. But would it be yet another 'gizmo' that would find its way to the back of the cupboard? Not a bit of it - my gums have stopped bleeding, my teeth feel and look clean, the timer is great to ensure that one spends the minimum 2 minutes per clean.I cannot fault it - long intervals between charges, a compact charger, easy access to the corners of the mouth. This toothbrush is sold at a very keen price and I cannot believe that toothbrushes at 3 or 4 times the price can be 3 or 4 times more effective - definitely worth considering! I am a convert, and no, Braun haven't paid me a fee! NB - It is worth buying the replacement heads in packs of 4 or 8 for significant savings
