this is the worst vacuum i've ever used in my entire life!! May 9, 2008 Yasmin H (Norwich, United Kingdom) the star rating started at 1 or else i would have rate it 0 star. don't buy this vacuum. if only i could get my money back.
Piece of junk February 11, 2008 Fotografica (UK) When I first got this vacuum cleaner I was very impressed with the suction. However, after a couple of uses I realised that unless you clean the filters after each use it just does not work properly. The attachments are held in a very akward position and the suction tube keeps coming out. I would say to stay away from this one, it is a waste of money.
Bagless - but prone to filter clogging July 22, 2007 R. Beasley (UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Straight out of the box, this machine has impressive suction. Unfortunately it doesn't stay that way for long. The problem appears to be that the internal filters clog up with household dust and fluff, choking the airflow and reducing the suction to a very low level. Unclogging the filters is not difficult, but it is very messy and is a right royal pain in the bottom. The root of the problem is that, unlike bagless machines from a certain well-known manufacturer, there is no cyclonic action to "spin" the dirt out of the air as it flows through the dustbin. Instead, it relies on filters to catch the dirt - and catch it they do! Aside form that, it's a well built machine, with useful features such as electronic speed/suction control (as well as a slide-open vent in the nozzle handle) and push-button cord rewind. The brush head features a rocker switch to extend and retract the brush when switching between hard floors and carpets, and the nozzle tube has Panasonic's neat telescoping mechanism, which automatically locks at the desired length as soon as you take your hands off it. Overall it's not a bad cleaner, but the nuisance value of the clogging filters mean there is no way I would recommend it.
