BRILLIANT I BOUGHT THIS STEAMER TO REPLACE AN OLD ONE I HAD & FIND IT BRILLIANT I USE IT EVERY DAY, ON OTHER REVEIWS PEOPLE HAVE DESCRIBED IT AS 'A BIT PLASTICY' BUT I HAVE TO DISAGREE AS MY OLD STEAMER WAS MORE PLASTICY THAN THIS ONE MY HUSBAND & I LOVE IT!

I bought this and think it is terrific! I have cooked a 'healthy' meal for four people, but also find it ideal for myself. Chicken & fish are particularly easy to cook and have a very good texture. Vegetables can be cooked from frozen. No smell, no mess, although the unit is a bit 'plasticky'. I would like a recipe book for an electric steamer.

I bought this more because it looked cool and I thought the ability to cook in seperate areas made it a bonus. The problem is though that each little bowl is just that! Little!! I would say at best you could steam vegetables for 2 people but if like me you want to use it to help cook a sunday roast for 4 people then you'll be getting out saucepans as well. Dissapointing and also I have to say the quality of the unit is not that good either and feels very plasticky.
