After reading rave reviews, bought this item. I already have a large Vax cleaner, but this product is FANTASTIC!!!! Put the larger cleaner away now, as this one really gets into all the nooks and crannies the Rapide doesn't. Stairs, upholstery even matressess! Try it for yourself and you won't be disappointed! It is so very easy to clean, refill and empty. Have 5 cats and a five yr old daughter, and i can tell you that it is essential!

Not wanting a full sized carpet cleaner, but one that I could use for those "heavy traffic" areas, I went looking for something portable & that had good reviews.
I came across the Vax V-033 Rapide Compact Carpet Cleaner.
The weirdest looking thing. Like R2D2 off Star Wars.
Ordered on a Thursday, it arrived Tuesday. Gave it a go the same night.
I had it going in less than 5 minutes. It's simplicity itself. Easy to use & easy to clean.
And the muck it sucks up......urgh!! Despite it's small size it cleans just like a full sized carpet cleaner. Take care not to over-soak the area being cleaned though.
(Wonder if I can shampoo the dog with it? Only kidding!!)
It can be used on upholstery as well as carpets. And can also be used to suck up spills. Truly portable, it's a piece of cake to do the car.
It's very easy to find a storage spot for it as it doesn't take up much room. It will probably fit in a standard kitchen cupboard (without shelves).
It can be quickly to hand without any need to heave heavy bits & bobs around when you need to use a carpet cleaner.
It appears quite robust-although do take care with the reservoirs. Made of plastic, they may not survive any harsh handling / cleaning / dropping. Apart from that I can't foresee any real problems. Anyway, it comes with the option to extend the warranty to 3 years for 17.99. Which I've taken out. Just in case.......
All in all, does exactly what it says, with no fuss & no bother.

Used this for the first time today and it's very good. The dirt that came out of my carpets was amazing. Got stains out that I hadn't previously been able to remove. Excellent, very easy to use. Highly recommended.

I got this for my car to do the seats. And the filth that came of them was just disgusting! They didnt look that bad but wow was i wrong. The vax is just a great little thing. TOP MARKS!!!!
