Having always been a user of manual toothbrushes I was somewhat apprehensive before using the 8000 series from Braun. I figured that my normal toothbrush would be a match for any electric toothbrush.
I was however pleasantly surprised by the performance of the 8000. Following the first use, my teeth felt noticeably cleaner than using my regular toothbrush. This product boasts 40,000 pulsations a minute and 8,800 side-to-side movement per minute which is obviously far greater than I was able to achieve with my manual brush, whilst also preventing against over-brushing.
The built in timer on this toothbrush is also really handy, helping you to clean your teeth thoroughly by encouraging you to spend equal time on the four quadrants of your mouth. There is a short stuttering sound every 30 seconds, prompting you to move on to the next area and then a longer stutter at the two minute mark signaling the optimum time to stop as recommended by dentists.
One of the most impressive and unexpected features of this product, for me, was the battery life. Using it twice a day for the recommended two minutes I was amazed that the battery lasted 3 weeks! Even more impressive than the two weeks that the packaging states!
I didn't expect to be overly impressed with this product but it has completely changed my opinion of electric toothbrushes. I will continue to use the 8000 series as I am extremely happy with the results. -- James Early, amazon.co.uk

After reading the reviews I decided to buy the Braun Oral-B Professional Care Deep Clean 8000. I have had an Oral-B Professional brush in the past but have recently thrown it away as it was no longer kept it's charge (I do use it between 2-4 times a day and have had it for over 3 years, so not bad).
While waiting for my item to be delivered I resorted back to using an ordinary tooth brush which was not good, it felt as if I needed to brush again after 10 minutes, Yuck!
As soon as my new brush arrived and I had built up a sweat getting it out of the packaging! I took it straight up to charge it as directed in the manual. The handy charging lights indicated when the brush was total charged and ready for use.
While cleaning I found the timer excellent. unlike before, with the lower spec brush I needed to guess when to move on. This was brilliant and easy to ensure I brushed for the recommended time. After brushing I was astounded at how clean and fresh my teeth & mouth felt!
I would highly recommend this excellent brush, for an excellent price i payed 24.99 (with free delivery)! Can't be bad seeing the leading high street catalogue has it on sale for 49.99. :D Thanks again

Excellent value for money, the toothbrush is lightweight and the charge lasts for approximately 4/5 days. Cleaning teeth has never been easier, you only need the lightest of touches and you can feel the toothbrush doing its work in cleaning your teeth. Your mouth is fresh and clean for hours after brushing and there is no excessive abrasion of gums.

This is an excellent, powerful electric toothbrush. I have long been a fan of manual brushing as I felt it cleaned better. After using this brush for a while not only are my teeth whiter but they feel much better. In addition to this my gums do not bleed anymore as the brush does the work so you dont mash the bristles into your teeth.
I especially find the timer function of this brush a real use. I never used to know how long to brush for but with the 2 minute timer inbuilt into the brush now I do. The brush pulses every 30 seconds to alert you to change the area of your mouth you are brushing, in this manner you spend 30 seconds on upper left 30 on upper right etc. It may sound silly but this gives brushing more purpose and I personally find it less of a chore. All in all an excellent value brush, I havent seen better for the price and I have looked at a great many.

after going through hell of 2 descale and polish at the dentist i was advised to buy one of these,only used it for a week and wow what a tooth brush ive had several battery operated toothbrushes but this is just the best i can see the difference already and its so powerful my husband is ordering one now this tooth brush is 50 elsewhere
