5 out of 5 stars Does it all   August 21, 2008
Robert Collman (S.E. England)
This iron has the features I wanted and some I didn't know I wanted. My last iron was heavy and I liked it, not having to press down. The bottom of this one is coated to make it glide easily which was not true with earlier irons. The turbo steam is really fierce which I think is a good thing. The ultracord seemed like a gimmick, but isn't - the cord doesn't bang my wrist and if I didn't like it, I wouldn't have to use it. The iron heats quickly, the cord is extra long, it's easy to fill and the base is very steady. I can't fault it.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent   August 4, 2008

I can't agree with the other reviewer. My feelings are consistent with those expressed by Which? magazine when they rated it a Best Buy. To quote: "results are excellent...ready to iron denim in 45 seconds...heavy but the weight is reassuring and you won't need to press down...glides well...easy to fill". I'd certainly recommend trying it for comfort before buying because, apart from the weight, it has quite a wide handle, albeit cushioned and comfortable. If you're ok with the weight (it's only .3 kg heavier than their lightest Best Buy) and the handle, you'll be delighted when you actually use it.

2 out of 5 stars Nothing Special   April 28, 2008

I thought this iron sounded quite impressive but I was very disappointed.
It's heavy and cumbersome to use and it didn't seem to get very hot like it claimed. Also, I found that the anti cord tangle part at the back of the iron was annoying because it kept banging on my wrist as I was ironing. For nearly 50 I was expecting something a whole lot better. Save your money and go for something cheaper, my old iron that I was replacing is better, so I've gone back to using that. I sent the other one back and got a refund!
