The cages frame is 4.8mm thick with more horizontal bars than usual each 3.2mm thick for increased strength. The vertical bars are made from 3.9mm steel. Each of the two doors have two locking anti tamper bolts each made from 5.9mm steel. All the steel is Black epoxy coated making it HARD WEARING and ANTI RUST. The removable bottom tray is also black and slips out easily for cleaning. We use steel trays instead of plastic trays as the plastic has a tendancy to split and crack causing injury to your dog. Each cage folds flat so takes up little space when not in use and is easily moved with its attached carry handle. When fully open the cage has two handles on the top to help manoeuvrability. They all have two opening doors one on the side and one on the end making it accessible wherever you need to place it. When choosing your cage please ensure that the dog is able to stand, stretch and turn around comfortably. If you measure the dogs height to the shoulders and length from the chest to the base of the tail and add 4-6 inches to each measurement this will give you an approx minimum cage size. I ordered this crate & got something completely different to what was described on the site. The crate I received had a door on the top & a door on the side; it had a plastic tray; it did not have handles on the top or a carry handle for when it was collapsed; it had wires sticking out which would have been dangerous for the dog; it was not like the crate in the picture and it did not fit together well. I have since returned the crate & received a full refund.

This crate is value for money at around 20 cheaper than most other crates on the market (plus its delivered to your door). However it is not of the best quality, the product does not fit snuggly together and the metal its made of is quite thin. If you have a strong dog i'm sure he could damage the crate. But apart from that the crate does the job, and because its black looks quite attractive - for a dog crate atleast.
