Product Description This handy Ceramic Sharpener is ideal for sharpening Global and Porsche knives. The two-stage process requires the ceramic wheels to be soaked in water for a few minutes before use, which enables the blade to glide through the wheels with ease.
Ideal for those who find using a ceramic steel or wet stone difficult Pre-set, 2 stage sharpener for optimum results Perfect for all types of Global, Porsche and Asian knives Wheels are lubricated with water to aid the sharpen process and minimise fiction Also available in a black & red combination

Hard work November 21, 2008 Mr. C. Hathaway (UK) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Perhaps for Global knives and good carbon steel knives this item works well but for middle of the road knives it performs disappointingly. It takes far too long to put an edge back on a blunt knife and the result is at best a good average. I intend to buy an electric grinder which will do the task in a fraction of the time.
It does exactly what it says on the box November 2, 2008 J. Gough (England) Superb piece of kit, I only wish I'd discovered it sooner. I've never been satisfied with the results I'd obtained with a steel and I've been looking for an inexpensive, non-bulky device to sharpen a wide variety of old and new knives. Thankfully I've finally found it in the black/Grey sharpener. It really is as easy and safe to use as the other reviewers have commented. Fill the small reservoir with water, replace the cover and simply glide the knife back and forth with gentle pressure between each of the two stones __ job done and perfect results every time. Highly recommended.
Brilliant! July 21, 2008 Mr. G. Raeburn 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After struggling with sharpening stones and steels for many years with limited success, I can now push them all to the back of the cupboard due to this superb wet sharpener. All my knives are now back up to shop bought sharpness with just six or seven stokes through this thing! highly recommended.
Fantastic piece of equipment June 1, 2008 lmhh (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've never been able to master sharpening knives with a steel - but now my worries are over. My knives are all razor sharp, I've been using this sharpener constantly for about a year and I have just bought replacement wheels not because I need them but "just in case" because I don't want to be without it. Cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who has ever struggled with a steel or resigned themselves to living with / replacing blunt knives!
Razor sharp knives every time! May 1, 2008 Doug (York, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have now had my sharpener for a couple of years and it is one of the best gadgets I have in the kitchen. It really does keep my global knives good a sharp. Frighteningly sharp in fact! It is so easy to use, and you get a perfect edge on your knives every time. Recommended.
