good looking but not long lasting November 18, 2008 J. A., Mcdonald (uk) First impressions, nice kettle, like its looks, boils quick, however the notorious Krups on off switch problem has started, driving me potty when i want a brew. I have keep spinning the kettle round on its base plate to get it to boil. The kettle performed well for about 18 months, for a 40 kettle i would have expected more longevity. Not impressed, waste of money
Lousy October 13, 2008 Norman Bates (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This kettle was a huge disappointment. The on switch is iffy, the lid doesn't always secure properly, but most annoying of all is that at least seven times out of every ten 'pours' the kettle leaks all over the place. All it does properly is boil water, which makes it an almost complete waste of money. The name on the base must be a misspelling.
Too much for too little October 9, 2008 Sparkcity 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this kettle two years ago and it has died a death due to what appears to be a small leak which allowed water onto the base. Given the price I would have expected it to last longer. What a disappointment - wouldn't by Krups again!
great and no faults with ours August 4, 2008 E. Searle 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm slightly surprised by some of the negative comments. We have been very happy with our kettle. It is no more noisy than our previous rapid boil kettles and no faults with ours!
Yukky plastic taste July 8, 2008 Mrs. J. Andrews 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Having read the 17 reviews above, I'm staggered that there hasn't been a mention of the yukky plastic taste that accompanies all water boiled in this kettle. I haven't owned this long enough for the on/off switch to fail but the lid can be quite annoying and looks as though it will become a problem and break. Anyway I'm sending it back because I can't drink tea made with water from the kettle. Looks good but is useless for the purpose it was bought for!
