Good little kettle August 29, 2008 M. Halliday (Cheshire, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
For a travel kettle what did I want? Compact - yes, Lightweight - yes Reasonable time to boil - yes. Note the instructions state 5 mins for 240v and nearly 6 mins for 110v. Given the 450ml (0.8 pint for silver surfers) and the 650 watt heating element these times are to be expected from simple physics. First boil took just under 5 mins but the water was room temperature to begin with. So if you are away on holiday and using bottled water dont use water from the fridge if you want your hot drink in 5 mins! Cups and spoons - bonus. The cups have no handles but are thick plastic with an even thicker rim at the top. So they don't get 'too hot to hold'. The cups and spoons fit inside the kettle for transport. This leave a small space for a sachet or two of coffee or sugar - but not enough for an instant 'latte' pouch. Overall - a 'GOOD' 4* kettle.
a bit slow August 24, 2007 Mr. Michael Sutton (lancashire, england) 5 out of 13 found this review helpful
The kettle is well made, but I bought one to use when out walking. It is so slow, its almost quicker to drive home!!
great little kettle April 6, 2005 104 out of 105 found this review helpful
I'm really pleased with this kettle it's the perfect size for 2, and boils very quickly. The lead isn't too short and it comes with 2 little cups which fit inside the kettle - the cups don't have handles but the plastic is very thick so shouldn't burn your hands. The only downsides are that you can't disconnect the power lead from the kettle and you have to manually change the voltage which is underside the kettle - just twist from 222/240 to 110 voltage. However these are minor matters, bottom line is it works, it's small and it pours well
