DO NOT BUYOctober 27, 2008 just_mini_mad(UK) I bought this kettle 3 months ago and have been unable to use it for tea/coffee making as the water tastes metallic and absolutely foul. Our water tastes fine from our other kettle so it's MR's problem. I've tried everything I can think of to get rid of the taste but nothing helps. On holiday last week our apartment also had this kettle and again water tasted foul.
It won't open... Now it wont close!September 6, 2008 Chris Wain(Nottingham UK) The second and last Morphy Richards Kettle. After 9 months the plastic in the lid fractured and then the lid wouldn't open. When it did it wouldn't close again. This is just very poor quality plastic used for the undeside of the lid. My advice is steer clear of this manufacturer.
