This is the nicest looking kettle we have ever had in our kitchen. We were delighted with it until 2 weeks after we had bought it, it started to leak. We returned it to the Ebay shop, exchanged it for another identical kettle, and after about a month, this too started to leak. Such a shame. Morphy Richards said any kettle bought from Ebay was not covered by their guarantee and they were very shirty about my enquiry and did not give a hoot for me.

Worst kettle we have ever had - We are on our third conked out kettle.
Thank heavans for the two year guarantee and the patience of John Lewis.
Not recommended if you actually want to use the ketle for more than an ornament.

Unlike some other reviewers, this kettle (and the matching toaster) have worked very well for the last 3 months. There is no problem with boiling over, unless you overfill it, and it really looks the part. It does easily get marks on the outside but then so do all chrome kettles!
Well worth considering.
Kettle spurts out DANGER May 12, 2008

Like all the other reviews the kettle looks lovely, but on practical terms once boiled if i want my coffee hot pour some of water down sink as it spurts out big time and can easily scald. holding the handle to pour is difficult have to continually blow the steam away. Another high risk of "Steam" burn not good. Mine also leaks hence the search is on for another and not this brand.

I am very pleased with this Kettle (and matching 4 slice toaster) It boils quickly and pours well - the water level is marked at the base of the handle in the gauge and the kettle doesn't splutter if it is not overfilled!! You can easily fill the kettle via the spout so you don't need to remove the lid when the kettle is hot! And it is a lovely design.
