Just the Best Thing in the House June 29, 2008 C. L. Yeo (UK) We have had this for 3 years now and it has never let us down. Worth every penny and just takes minutes to clean house. Easy to use, easy to set up, clean and store away.
Don't buy one you'll regret it. January 20, 2008 Lisa M (Channel isles) This dyson was great for the first 6 months. Now it refuses to pick up hair or fluff. The cable doesn't retract properly and I have already had it fixed once. Don't buy it you'll only regret it in a few months. I have now got a Henry it's much cheaper and works 100 times better in my opinion.
A good all round vacuum December 1, 2007 London Guy (London) Having used Dyson's before and living in a very large house, I knew that a cleaner with a strong suction was needed as the small vacuum we had, I felt had not power in it. After looking at the reviews i decided to go with the DC11. It arrived well within the delivery time slot and only took a minute to assemble. The house I live in is a mixture of carpets, wooden floor and stone floor and the DC11 sailed through without any problems. Yes it is a bit bulkier and heavier than other dysons I have used previously but its design is somewhat different. The turbo brush was very good on carpets and with one adjustment it could be turned off for hard floors. The telescopic wand needs a bit of a hard pull to ensure its clipped into place and doesn't collapse when in use, and although I don't think the DC11 is designed to sit on stairs (which this house has 4 flights of) i had no problem with it going up each stair and it did not fall. The tools are very neatly stored on the cleaner itself and not on the house like previous dysons (which i found annoying) and the cable rewind works perfectly and I have not needed to feed it into the machine at all. The hose fits neatly round the cleaner and it fits into the limited cupboard space without any issues. The bin is easy to remove from the vaccuum and i like the way you just press a button and it opens up automatically to let the dirt out, another bonus! Overall i'd say this is a good all round vaccuum, heavier than other dysons and probably better if you live somewhere that does not have stairs but a good vaccuum with excellent suction.
Dinky little dysette November 14, 2007 Dorset Girl (UK) Having moved to a house with slate floor downstairs and carpets upstairs the old Dyson upright was past its sell by date and so I changed to a Dyson All Floors DC11. I read every review I could find and decided to take the plunge and buy one from Amazon. It is a dinky little machine in that is stows aways in a small space and it is easy to handle. You need to empty it every time you use it as the dust container is small and as everyone has said the cord retraction is pants but not the end of the world. We have just had new carpets laid upstairs and as usual the carpets are shedding a great deal of fluff.. unfortunately the excessive carpet fluff seems to be a bit much for this machine and you need to clear out the entry to the dust container as the machine looses suction. It's only a problem on new carpets apart from that it's great.
dyson dc11 a daimond November 5, 2007 Mrs. Michelle Smith (grantham uk) I love this dyson i have always had the dyson from the 02 which died after many years use i then went for the dc07 which is still going strong but with 6 kids carring the machine upstairs daily was back breaking so brought the dc 11 for the bedrooms and very pleased. As 99% of people looking for a new hoover are mums this is fantastic for kids mess crumbs etc, and pet hairs i have a westie who dosnt go upstairs but amazing the amount of dog hairs this machine picked up on first use i always thought every room in my house was a ok except for childrens toys i had to empty machine after first room because its brush can get places a upright cant i was very shocked, the only down side it is heavy but if like me you benifit from one downstairs one up then you wont be dissapointed, the rewind like rewinds on everything takes a bit of doing but will work if no tangles in wire putting away and clicking together takes time but after the firast few times becomes second nature. Go on mums you wont be disappointed a extra pair of hands just plug in and go.
