At last a simple knife sharpener that actually works. It may not be the most sophisticated piece of kit on the market and certainly not the most expensive. I've tried steels and whetstones in the past and been very disappointed. I now have all my Sabatier knives back in business and a pleasure to use again.
My knives are now sharp April 9, 2008 Mr. N. J. Kelly Got this today and within 10 minutes had sharpened all 6 of my kitchen knives. Just couldnt be any easier to use
Beware! February 29, 2008 C.Rabbit This only works on Kitchen Devils knives and a limied range of other brands. At the time I bought this (Jan 2008) that was not stated on the packaging. It does not work on any of my knives and was a waste of money.
Not so great February 17, 2008 Ms. Fj Ridley (OXON, UK) After my boyfriend bought me some Sabatier knives, I was keen to find a knife sharpener to keep them really nice and sharp. When I was looking through all the different products available, I noticed that the Kitchen Devils Rollsharp Sharpener came highly recommended. I read all the reviews and saw nothing wrong with it and it was considerably cheaper than a lot of the other sharpeners. So I decided to purchase it. When it arrived I was incredibly keen to try it out. It was alright to begin with, but the more I used my knives the less I noticed that the Rollsharp was doing anything. Perhaps it might work better on thinner knives. I think I am going to try a whetstone and then use the Rollsharp just quickly before each use, giving my knives a good sharpener with the stone every so often. I was quite disappointed with this product, but when I think about how much it costs, its hardly worth getting annoyed about!!
A MUST buy October 6, 2007 N. Tod (England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is one brilliant gadget. I tried it on my kitchen knives that were pretty blunt and which I was about to throw away. WOW is all I can say. it was money well spent and saved me buying new knives. It's very easy to use fits, neatly in a drawer and is one of the cheapest knife sharpeners around.
