This vacuum cleaner is cheap and powerful while it works. Once it goes bad -as mine did- even within the guarantee period, five calls later to the customer support, listening to their made-up excuses and a long time "holding a moment", only to then listen to their "the motor doesn't run, that's because the filter is dirty" arguments. After all this, I'm Morphy Richards free for life.

Have used the Morphy Richards for several months with no problems at all. Very quick delivery by Amazon UK. Also had probs with bagless vacuum cleaner (a Hoover) that needed endless cleaning of filters with tons of dust and mess that defeats the purpose. None of this with the 70047 - and the bag is easy to change and holds a lot of dust! Main joy is using the variable suction - nice and quiet on low setting, while at the strongest suction it makes quite a whine but then, for me, this setting is seldom used as it takes up the carpet as well as the dust! Very easy to store and park; telescopic handle/on board tool storage/ spare dust bag. Quality-made with a high-standard of finish into the bargain. Possibly the cord rewind is not as zippy as my 30yr old Electrolux (some spring on that...!) but at least this goes in gently without snaking across the floor and whacking the furniture! Also comes with the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval. Very pleased with purchase.

I bought this vacuum on the strength of the review above and a couple of others I found on other webpages. I am very sceptical of reviews, especially effusive ones, and am very hard to please but I have to join in singing the praises of this little beauty.
I opted for the 2200W version and it's powerful and effective on carpets and laminate flooring. It's also light, easily manoeuverable and has all the bits and pieces you'd expect on any vacuum. The difference with this one is that it's obviously been designed by people who actually use a vacuum cleaner.
The telescopic handle is genius and means you don't have to stop cleaning to remove lengths of cumbersome hose and all the other little nozzles tuck away tidily under a flap. There's even a clip to store the hose neatly when not in use so it's not falling about all over the place, something that's never featured on any other pull-along vacuum I've ever known.
All in all, a top vacuum and a reasonable price.

I have finally found the PERFECT vacuum cleaner! This is it!
Price: fantastic. Performance: fantastic.
My story, why I bought this Premair Allergy vaccum cleaner is this: few months ago I bought a "bagless" vacuum cleaner and I had nothing but unhaappiness with it because it turned out to be noisy, dusty, and unefficient machine even though the engine was 1800. Physically draining sweaty excercise, not to mention the problem of the "bagless" trouble!!!
MORPHY RICHARD'S PREMAIR ALLERGY VACUUM cleaner with a 2300 engine is what I always wanted. It is silent, very powerful, slides through surfaces like a dream, cleans everything, and not an iota of dust particle in the air because all dust and dirt is collected in a tightly sealed bag. THIS IS A DREAM MACHINE. A pleasure to use!
Don't buy "bagless" vacuums. The dust which is not captured,will block your engine. When you have to empty the dustbags, the air fills with particles and you have to breeth in dirt. The so called washable HEPA filters are impossible to brush out or wash clean because the slots are so tight. The filter gets blocked with dust, and your engine will not work well. HEPA filters to replace are very very expensive. CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TOLD ABOUT THIS aspect of "bagless" vacuums because they are a totally useless design for someone who wants to stay healthy.
MORPHY RICHARDS PREMAIR ALLERGY VACUUM IS NOT ONLY THE BEST, BUT it is also VERY MUCH AFFORDABLE vacuum cleaner.
