This is probably the worst shaver I have had the misfortune to purchase. If the hair growth is anything more than a fraction of a millimeter in length the razor has problems, it misses hairs so you have to keep going over the same area until all the stubble is cut, which can cause a shaving rash. Somtimes it feels as though the shaver is ripping the hair out.

I've owned various foil shavers over the years - a number of Brauns, a Remington and two Boots Visage models, and foils rarely lasted more than a year with any of them. The Philips is incredibly quiet, it shaves better than any foil shaver I've ever used and can be rinsed in hot water. Avoid rechargeable only models as the batteries die after a couple of years and they use non-standard cells which can't be replaced. This model is mains only. 40 from Argos.
