This is a fantastic solution if your bath has no shower-mixer tap and you don't want to go to the expense of changing the bath taps or installing a separate shower. The unit is push-fitted on to the bath taps and tightened down with jubilee clips - concealed beneath a cover - using a screwdriver. Unfortunately there are no clear instructions enclosed with the unit, so an amateur may not realise that you have to remove the cover first in order to access the jubilee clips - crucially, if you don't tighten the Croydex unit well to the bath taps it will not work properly. So come on Croydex, you have a first-class product here, so make sure the user has clear installation instructions! It's also worth pointing out that in many bathroomss there is unequal pressure between the hot and cold water supplies - this has to be solved by a plumber, because if it is not solved it will be difficult (though not necessarily impossible) to balance the hot and cold supplies to the Croydex when used as a shower.
