Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!   August 12, 2008
Banners (Kent, UK)
We are extremely impressed with this product, after the first go we had got our poached eggs just right. With boiled eggs you need a tiny bit less water than stated on the measuring jug but it's still a great invention. Just one thing like another reviewer said, shame it doesn't do 2 poached eggs at a time. Toaster is fab too and will take really thick slices of bread. Well worth the money!

2 out of 5 stars Return to Drawing Board   August 9, 2008
T. Knight (UK)
Wonderful idea in theory, but needs to go back to the drawing board. As another reviewer points out, the toaster is too small in depth, as slices protrude from the top if not from a square sandwich loaf (probably designed with egg muffins in mind, not sliced bread) also I have not had a soft poached egg as of yet, despite experimenting with different quantities of water. All eggs poached so far have stuck to the non - stick poaching tray despite spraying with oil, making them extremely difficult to remove from the tiny pan, however the idea of using one appliance to do several tasks is fantastic: If it only worked.

I am really impressed with this. It takes no time at all to make poached egg on toast. You can choose the softness or hardness of the egg by the measuring jug provided.

Bad Points? I too wish it did 2 poached eggs at once.

Very pleased with it and have recommended it to most of my friends.

I think this is fantastic. Takes just a couple of minutes to make poached egg on tast with both ready together. The softness or hardness is set by measuring the amount of water you add and I've never had a hard one yet, without checking it once.
If I had any complaints at all, I wish it did two poached eggs at once (it does up to 4 boiled eggs).
Very pleased with it and would definitely recommends it

3 out of 5 stars Eggs with short toast   May 14, 2008

As a toaster this makes pretty good toast (as you'd like to hope!). The added extra is the ability(?) to poach or boild eggs at the same time.

This works surprisingly well (tho' I've yet to boil an egg), but with a couple of reservations. You have to watch this like a hawk or all the eggs will be hard (which is not so good when poaching an egg). Additionally, the little pan holding the egg is very shallow (about 1.5cm). This makes the first reservation all the more important.

My major problem with this, howver, is the size of the bread slots. They are just too short. I don't know if they'd be the right size for a "standard" white sandwhich loaf, but thy're not for the bread I buy - hence marking it down.
