Brilliant piece of kit! September 30, 2008 J. Ashmore (Lincoln UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Meyer Prestige multi cooker. This is a superb asset to any kitchen we have one in our caravan and one in the home!! Well made, easy to clean and cooks anything from a fried egg to a roast dinner. Wouldn't be without it, would recommend one very highly. not cheap but worth every penny.
very good - couldn't live without it August 23, 2008 ns123 (Derby, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
No cooker during a house extension so we have survived using this and a microwave. V reliable and convenient.
Prestige Multi-Cooker August 12, 2008 Ms. E. J. Day (East Sussex) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have had this item for about just over a year now. When initially bought it was fantastic. I use if for stews, stir frying, generally anything that I would normally used a saucepan for. However, after a year, the non-stick coating on the base started to come off and whenever I use it now, things I am cooking stick to the base and burn.
Uncontrollable heat and poorly made February 11, 2008 Janey B (Hampshire UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Having read the reviews of this item I was impressed and went ahead and bought one. Maybe I just got a duff one but the removable probe would not stay put in the side of the pan. Any slight movement to the pan - and this is easy if you place it on a worktop as there are no stabilising rubber feet on the bottom, just metal ones - and the probe comes loose from the main body. This means that it switches itself off and you probably don't even notice. Also it seems impossible to run at low temperatures for simmering etc. A low temperature setting just causes the pan to spend a period of time not appearing to heat at all followed by a short burst of intense heat rather than a continuous gentle simmering. Very disappointing. Of use only for high heat whilst you stand over it. I sent it back.
One of my most used kitchen appliances..... October 3, 2007 A Whitehead (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Firstly, this is more than just being another ordinary kitchen appliance. It's just so versatile if you need to use it say in a caravan or for a self-catering holiday. Most of us know that the selection of equipment is so often inadequate in many holiday cottages etc. Taking this cooker solves all that simply because of it's versatility. I don't like having to clean too many things when I'm cooking, so unless were having rice/pasta or a roast joint of meat, I nearly always use my Prestige cooker when making a meal. In the end, I'd agree it's down to personal choice, but I certainly have no qualms about giving this Kitchen Top Electric Cooker a well deserved 5 star recommendation. Either way, a highly useful and useful piece of kitchen equipment to own.
