Superb - but seek out the detachable handle December 16, 2007 will_de_beest (Warwick) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have SKK's long-handled 28cm saute pan - a long-handled version of this casserole - which is simply the best and most veratile piece of cooking equipment I own. It even goes with us on holiday, where it's the perfect antidote to cheap-and-nasty pans in self-catering kitchens. I've used it to sear steaks, steam mussels and even boil potatoes, all of which is does beautifully, and cleans up easily afterwards. My pan dates from 2004; since then, I've bought another one as a wedding present for a friend, and that came with a long handle attached by a very secure quick-release latch. That, to my mind, makes it well-nigh perfect - and renders this two-handled casserole redundant.
Top-class pans September 3, 2007 Bluebell (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have tried many different makes of pots and pans and highly recommend SKK cookware. I've gradually replaced most of my saucepans, casseroles, stewpots, saute pans and frying-pans with this brand. Some I've had for many years, yet the non-stick surface remains undamaged despite my not-infrequent use of metal tools. The heat distribution is exceptionally even and food doesn't scorch as easily as with less good pans. An example of the fine performance is in the making of tart tatin: with other cookware the caramelizatiion of the apples is a more hit or miss business with the high chance of scorching the apples but using an SKK deep frying-pan this doesn't happen. An added bonus is that handles can stand oven temperatures up to 260 degrees centrigrade.
Worth every penny July 18, 2007 A. James (Worcester, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
In fact they are so good I now own two and wouldn't hestitate to recommend to anyone. They are the only pans I can completely forget about cooking a risotto in and still manage to clean easily afterwards
