Overpriced December 1, 2008 Whistler Looks nice to start with but lid warped after a while so didn't keep bread as fresh and interior started rusting. Don't think it's worth the money.
Extremely happy with my bread bin.. September 15, 2008 Honorine (Lanc's) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We have had our bread bin since March this year and are very happy with it. The lid doubles as a 'buttering' board not a chopping board and I would never use the outside of the lid in case I ruined it! It fits all the bread we need to store but I must admit that the wood could be a bit better quality. After oiling, as someone else said, it looks so much better.
splinter soft lid September 1, 2008 miel22 (UK) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Be careful with the lid. On first getting item, I ran lid under cold water very very quickly just to rinse of any dust- surface lifted & went "fluffy". It's very soft cheap wood. I sustained a splinter off the underside edge, before sanding it down.Sanded down & oiled- then ok. Advise only ever wipe with a damp cloth. Nice green colour inside. Sides of bin buckled. 4 little holes either end for ventilation.Keeps bread about as fresh as an average bread bin- no better, no worse in that respect. Not overkeen on the lettering "BREAD" - Its done by just an absence of yellow paint so it's just grey metal. If had been able to inspect this in a shop I would have gone for an alternative. Under 10 would be, I feel a more suitable retail value.
perfect! August 19, 2008 Aruba (Great Britain) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very pleased with this, I have always liked typhoon products. We have had this bread bin for a week and the bread is still very fresh. Looks fab in our kitchen and sits perfectly amongst our other utensils. Forget other bread bins, purchase this one.
