Worth considering an alternative October 23, 2008 S. Thomas (UK) I bought four of these storage jars when they first came out and was initially very pleased with the purchase. I found however that, as other reviwers have said, the lid was not very securely attached to the base and kept coming away. Eventually I ended up with a chipped glass insert on the lid, which was of huge concern given the contents of the jar are meant for consumption. I was fortunate that the retailer gave me a full refund against all of the jars as I did not feel they were either practical or safe to continue using.
good product - no problems June 28, 2008 Helen Sarah Morley (London, U.K.) Have had three of these for several months and so far no problems. They have a better-than-average capacity compared with other tea and coffee jars, but take up relatively little space on the worktop and I like being able to see when they need refilling, especially the ones that the family use more often than I do. Also very attractive and match my bread bin!!
VERY Disappointing. December 20, 2007 S. Turnbull (London) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I agree with other reviewers~these jars look great but are completely impractical. The clasps fall off constantly which is hugely irritating as you then have to faff around trying to refit them!! Nigella,if you are reading this please pay more attention to a product before you let them use your name to sell it~it makes you look cheap when endorsing a rubbish product like this. These jars have put me off buying more kitchenware in this range which is a shame as I really like the look of them Save your money and buy another brand.
Attractive and practical. August 16, 2007 Matthew Walton (Hull, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have two of these jars and use them on an almost daily basis and I haven't encountered any of the problems the other reviewers have. The only problem I have is keeping them clean, as I bought the cream ones and I keep them next to the hob, so I get a lot of splashes on them.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY April 18, 2007 Mrs. H. Myles (READING) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
THESE JARS ARE TOTALLY IMPRACTICAL. THEY MAY LOOK GOOD BUT THE LIDS ARE USELESS AND FALL APART FREQUENTLY. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF PURCHASING FOUR OF THEM AND SORELY REGRET IT.
