Product Description PROTECT YOUR GARDEN HABITAT: There are 9 million cats in the UK. The mammal society says cats kill around 275 million prey items a year, including 55 million birds. Voles and other small mammals make up much of the remainder. The Sonic Cat Repeller will help protect your garden habitat and encourage wildlife and birds back into it.

a gardeners dream July 12, 2008 Mr. J. Felton (west sussex) bought one of these to try and stop cats fouling under our bay window which we have covered in gravel, and having tried every known repellent known to man without little success, this actually works!!!. i now have bought another one for the back garden and so far( one week later) the neighbours cats have bid a hasty retreat!!! no more horrible mess, marvellous.on the downside, the batteries may be considered a tad expensive so buy rechargables. but who cares!!
It works, but use a mains adaptor. July 6, 2008 Tom (Hampshire) Returning from a two week holiday to a front garden rank with the stench of cat faeces was the final straw. My initial musings about using Indiana-Jones style traps to launch the vermin back into my neighbours garden left me questioning my own sanity, so I bought a Big Cheese instead. It works! There were only two turds left in the first week after installation and then nothing after that. Why not five stars? The two 9v batteries (not included) were spent within one month so I've had to connect it up to an old d.c. adapter. A d.c. adapter increases the volume so it's worth using one. NB: It IS audible if you have good hearing and the sound is irritating if you're near it. But in such circumstances you just turn it off.
It works.......so far July 3, 2008 Ruth (Buckinghamshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like many others I have been plagued by neighbours cats fouling my vegetable beds. I have six deep beds and, unless they are heavily planted and the growth is substantial, they are used by the cats. I have installed the Big Cheese and so far it has been successful. I have had two beds with bare, freshly turned earth left untouched for three weeks! Before, when I had put a tent of chicken wire over the beds a cat had dropped it's poo through the wire. My only criticism is that the switch to turn it off, for battery saving, is awkwardly located.
Rubbish! June 9, 2008 P. Kumar (Leeds) It worked for a week or so and now the cats don't care. Finally I was able to keep the cats away by always keeping my grass wet.
peace of mind May 24, 2008 D. Hill (uk,) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have owned one of these for a blissfull four weeks, and after 9 years of cleaning other peoples cat's mess from my garden i am at last stress free, not one cat mess since i installed the big cheese. I was just about ready to sit up all night with an air riffle thats how bad i was feeling i had tried everything, don't delay these things really do work and the nightmare stops.
