This machine is an absolute waste of money. The coffee that the discs produce is foul!! I can't express that enough. The picture of the cappucino with the frothy milky top can not have been made by this as it doesn't produce a frothy top. The creamer that has to be used tastes and smells disgusting. At 2.99 a pack, one would expect something tasty. This is certainly no substitute for making coffee from ground coffee and real milk. The latte was extremely watery and weak and as with the cappucino had a slight salty taste. If you like nice coffee this isn't for you. I cannot recommend this at all. Very dissapointing. 1 star out of 5 is too much for this.

This was delivered yesterday morning, and I've already sampled many different flavours from it. From the Latte Macchiato to the Breakfast tea, to the Suchard hot chocolate. This machine delivers the same results every time, and whilst not quite the same as when you grind your own beans, it is a lot quicker, and the machine mostly cleans itself - you just have to deal with little splashes. It's certainly the least messy method I've seen for latte/cappuccino milk. When you register at tassimo.co.uk, they will send you some sample discs, plus you can buy some drinks from there which you can't pick up in the local supermarket. Oh and pick up some latte glasses as the effect when making the latte macchiato is mesmerising.

The great think about 'pod' machines is that they are easy to use and pretty consistent. The coffee isn't up to the best you can get from a conventional machine, but, as a compromise between instant coffee and real espresso that's not far off the latter, these machines are perfect.

Keep cost in mind though. Pods cost a lot more than espresso beans or ground espresso coffee. That's probably ok if you don't drink a lot of coffee, but if there are two or more or you drinking several cups per day, pods make a noticeable hit on your supermarket bills. They add to the landfill mountain too.

This is my second Tassimo machine and Bosch have put right all the little niggles I had with the previous Braun machine. Including now being able to fit my Portmeirion mugs on it, less fiddley pieces to clean, no overflow that constantly required emptying and absolutely best of all - more pressure when making drinks - the Braun never got it right (half the Suchard chocolate remained in the pod and the crema was never really good on the coffee!). The Bosch did stop working completely after 3 weeks but it was exchanged without a quibble. I'm very happy with it and enjoy my morning hassle-free coffee.
