Rubbish July 21, 2008 S. O'Neal I bought this six months ago and used it very lightly. Last week it just stopped working. So I'm out all that money and am stuck with a big, heavy oven. I can't even throw it in the bin. I have to have someone come and haul it away. Just use your oven and a cheap microwave and don't waste your money.
As a convection oven it burns food May 6, 2008 T. Rose (Basingstoke, UK) I bought this oven as a replacement for an older Panasonic microwave / combination oven. Because of the design, the grill element is on all the time when you are using the convection oven. This causes food to burn on top even before it is cooked through. I wouldn't recommend this as a convection oven. The microwave functions are fine.
Best microwave ever!!!! May 3, 2008 bluecat (cornwall UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have had a slightly older version of this now for over 5 years and wish that I had bought one years ago. I never really cooked properly in my older standard microwaves as I didn't like the end result and only really used it for a few things, reheating, defrosting etc. Since having this one I have recommended it to everyone whenever the converstion turns to combination microwaves. I have just bought my son and his girlfriend one for their new flat as he knows how good mine is and know how to use it well. I am also trying to convert my mum as she has a much cheaper combination microwave and it's totally useless. I would never buy any other brand and would definately always get a panasonic with the inverter. Highly Recommended, you won't look back.
Just the job April 13, 2008 L. Mahy 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this microwave a couple of weeks ago as we have no kitchen at the moment and wanted something to tide us over. I have not been disappointed with this microwave. There are 5 different functions: grill, convection oven, microwave and combination of either grill/microwave or oven/microwave. The instructions are clear and make it extremely simple to use. Food is always cooked in the time stated in the manual. Highly recommended!
Good quality & cooks very well! April 8, 2008 Reinvent (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As a previous reviewer has mentioned, the oven cooks some things brilliantly, much better Roast Chicken than in my main oven! The CHAOS defrost function is superb, I find food like frozen chicken breasts are defrosted without starting to actually cook them. I haven't used the grill yet so cannot comment. The build quality is very good throughout. I particularly like the fact that the oven is a good compact size so it doesn't take up too large a footprint on my worktop. The manual is very good and pretty much tells you everything you need to know. I would knock half a star off as you can only use the preset microwave power ratings, they can't be adjusted, so a lot of the time it is High (1000w) or Medium (600w) and no ratings option in between, 800w would be nice as most ready meals have cooking times for 800w.
