DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT LIGHT October 1, 2007

I bought this as a ceiling fixture as that is what it is and because being a lower energy I was thinking I was doing my bit to save the planet. How wrong can you be. I now have every lamp in the room blazing as this light would not light a dog kennel. Buy a higher wattage bulb you say. Try and find one!!!!! It comes with a 13w bulb which is next to being useless, it is one of these new fangled pin bulbs which nobody has in stock or even heard of. Philips haven't responded to emails. It is a ceiling fixture so one would expect that a higher wattage would be obtainable. I've been on at least 15 websites that specialise in selling light bulbs - not one of them have these bulbs.
So if you don't mind living with permanent "mood" lighting buy it, if you actually bought it in the hopes of being able to see anything don't buy it because it won't be the lighting that is in a "mood."
