wonderful stuff August 12, 2008 J. Cochrane (Norn Iron) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this breadmaker after having been inspired by a daily mail review article on various breadmakers, then proceeded to check out reviews on amazon. Thanks to everyone who rated this machine, you helped me make my mind up. The story so far: my efforts at making wholemeal bread ended in partial success, the bread not having risen to the extent required - then again the manual does warn of this and recommends you add vit c tablets to counteract this, which in fairness I didn't do. My next effort was a plain white loaf - wonderful stuff and made several times since - I consider it on a par with anything you'd buy from a supermarket instore bakery - probably superior given you know all the ingredients in it, and cheaper also. I've now progressed to making banana & walnut bread, and fruit loaf with it - again, both excellent and so economical to make compared to buying in a supermarket. There are many more recipes which I have yet to try, but trying to restrain myself to exploring them gradually given the need to think about my waistline :-) Best of all, it is SO easy to use, assuming that you are able to follow instructions in the manual. All measures are provided, simply scoop out the ingredients in the quantities and order specified, placing in breadmaker tin as you go, select the setting, wait till program finishes - that's it! It is also very easy to clean. I am delighted with the product, and consider it superb value for money -I am sure that given the savings I make it will have paid for itself shortly :-)
Great machine, four years on... July 23, 2008 E. Kahn (London, UK) I was lucky enough to buy this machine four years ago, when it was only 35. Now I see what a good buy that was, as it's currently close to double the price. After four years I'm happy to say I have had very good use of my bread maker. I can't say that I never buy shop bread anymore, because as a busy mum of a large family, sometimes I just don't manage to bake bread, but buying bread is a rare occurence. I'd followed other reviewer's advice to avoid the fastbake setting, and the other settings I have used were very good. My favourite is the dough setting for making rolls and pizza bases, but having said that, I do enjoy waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread, and the sandwiches taste great. I can't really find fault with this machine, when my tin and paddle got damaged, Morphy Richards supplied replacements at a very reasonable cost, so all in all a good buy.
Excellent - you will not gho back to shop bread. July 15, 2008 allotment cat (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an excellent bread maker. I have been using it nearly every day for 3 weeks. I have not brought a supermarket loaf since. Fast bake option is not as good as other options would not use the fast bake again. I have had no dodgy loaves of bread from this machine and it tastes brilliant. I would highly recommend this machine. Granery and wholemeal loaves are really good in this machine. Do not believe the bad reviews. You will not look back.

this bread maker is the finest thing since slice bread. it defies gravity and all its inhabitants. it's historic legacy will echo thru the valleys of every land and flow across the lonely skies. this amazing product shall eternally bleed my every whim and feed me whenever i feel hungry. this mystical piece of technology will have u beaming for the oracle of ages. i just know that this will live forever along with Paris hilton's debut album which is another historic piece of making. i also listen to Paris Hilton as i make my morning bread. all i eat is bread and so it is extra special to me. buy this item today. bag a bargain, it is only 5p here on amazon, go else where and u are lucky if u get it for a couple of hundred grand. please buy it with Paris Hilton's album.
