Had one of these that did not work properly so sent it back to get another one that was just as bad. I have now given up with these and reverted to good old ice cubes. Total waste of money.

Bought this for home as I thought it was a great idea to replace our existing bulky water bottle in the fridge. Unit is noisey - could hear it in our bedroom above! Rather than give up on the investment, I took it to my office. Very conscious that the water not inside the chiller is being heated by the unit after it has been filtered. Came to work on Monday and the water on top was quite warm! Surely that isn't healthy?! Had a glass of water, and the warm water going into the chiller meant the 'cold' light went out for about 3 hours! So if I drink a glass an hour, it NEVER goes out!!
Having had it 6 months now, just got a glass of water and lots of green bits came out??? Algae maybe? - so that answers the warm water question! Have flushed the cool tank several times. No cleaning / sterilising guidelines on Brita's website or instructions other than the plastic water container. Don't trust the water to drink now. Very disappointed, a poor product - a waste of money.

Well i bought one for 20 plus 10 delivery of ebay i love it the noise dosent bother me i turn chiller of at night why chill it when your asleep? its not really cold but all my friends and family say its cold enough the water taste great our water is horrible mine switch of when chilled but we use it alot for filling kettle ect so always chilling my advise is shop about i would pay 75 but 30 i think was a bargain...

I've gone through three of these units (two silver and one white) in the past 21 months. They either eventually fail to dispense water due to some kind of air blockage and / or fail to chill the water.
Avoid at all costs.

This deserves minus stars (-5). We are now on our third water chiller - the first one lasted just over 12 months was very noisy and died conveniently after the warranty ran out. We drink a lot of filtered water so invested in another one. This lasted about 3 months and died completely so was refunded and we foolishly bought another. The latest one has lasted approx 45 days before stopping chilling.
Bascically these are complete rubbish and should be removed from the market - Brita needs to get its act together.
