4 out of 5 stars Prefer it to my hot-air popper....   May 31, 2008

Makes a decent sized batch of popcorn with only a couple of partially popped pieces. I prefer it to my hot-air popper as I like to put the butter and salt in while popping. Not had a problem with it and have found it easy to clean.

2 out of 5 stars Clever design, but not up to standard   January 13, 2008

Such a clever design, the dome that becomes a bowl!

Unfortunately, the little metal 'oar' that mixes and spreads the popcorn over the heated surface came off after about 5 uses. Tried to put it back a couple of times, but is keeps coming out.

There also is a bit too much build up of steam, which threatens to make the popcorn go soggy.

And now that I have used it, I have come to realise that the dome becoming the bowl is not all that great, because one is unlikely to make one batch only.

I'd get a hot hair popper again. Good old times.

3 out of 5 stars Ok, for small amounts   October 27, 2007

Good maker, got to be very patient! The machine uses a hot plate which is ok, not as good as hot air blowers.
