Overall a good vacuum cleaner January 22, 2008

Bought this cleaner just over a week ago. I didn't get it from Amazon but from a well known supermarket chain who were selling it at a very good price. Good points: cleans well on carpets and hard floors even my dogs hair is picked up easily, not too noisy, well made (not cheap and nasty like some), easy to empty, good length cable which is also supple, turbo brush works well, foot based on/off switch easy to use. Bad points: the cleaner head goes very low to get under furniture which is good but it makes it hard to get from hard floors on to rugs and mats etc. because you have to go very low to lift the head, also I find the head release knob and the floor height adjustment knob are not particularly user friendly. However overall I have found it to be a good cleaner especially for the price that I paid.
