I have had this pedometer for a couple of weeks. I don't find it very accurate; on numerous checks it does not accurately record the number of steps taken when clipped to my waist band.
Therefore I do not find it is motivating me at all to reach the 10,000 a day.
The distance and calorie settings are based on what you input into the pedometer as your average step length.
There is a beep setting for jogging to keep you paced, but this is high pitched and quiet and I can't hear it when on my waist band.
This is the first pedometer I've used, so I don't know if this is any better or worse than others.
