n.b. The Amazon photo currently shows a 'Stoneware' dish and NOT the CAST IRON version - check out the other colours/size (e.g. Cerise in the 30 cm size),for verification of design.
Favoured by professional chefs, cast iron cookware simply obtains the best cooking results from all heat sources.
Even heat retention allows cooking efficiency at low or medium temperatures, therefore conserving energy and keeping fuel bills lower.
The Le Creuset rectangular dish, approx. size 40 cm x 25.5 cm x 6.5 cm can be used for roasting/baking and grilling.... plus..... it can be used on the hob!
Use with the specifically designed, and reasonably priced `Le Creuset Roasting Rack', which holds the meat away from the base of the dish and keeps the fat separate for making that superb gravy, on the hob, later on!
No need to use another pan or dish!
Elegant enough to take to the dinner table, and sure to be the focus of attention! Also available in a 30 cm size, in a variety of colours, at Amazon, today.
Easy to use and clean by hand, or pop it in the dishwasher.
With a little care, these cast iron dishes last for years.
