WARNING - European Plug August 30, 2008 Carol (Inverness) This is a fantastic iron once you can actually use it, word of warning it does come from Germany and has a European plug on it. If like me your old one has blown up and the ironing is mounting up be prepared. The adaptor you need is called a Shuko to UK adaptor it may be and idea for Amazon to start stocking this to buy with this iron. I managed to get one from Maplins for under 3.00 so don't let it put you off buying it just be prepared when it comes. I order this the day before Denise put her comment in so hadn't read her review when I ordered it ????
European Plug August 22, 2008 Denise (Suffolk) Why oh why would they send an iron with a european plug on. Dont buy this iron unless its direct with amazon.
A million times better than the price suggests October 16, 2007 E. Warden (UK) 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I bought this iron after reading other reviews on amazon and I love it (as much as you can love ironing!) I usually buy the most expensive because I think that that is the best, but I decided that with Christmas coming I would trust the reviews and I was not dissapointed. My last iron cost loads more and was rubbish compared to this (It has cut my ironing time in half). The steam is really effective and it heats up in no time and its really quiet so I can watch and HEAR TV while I iron. If you are still in doubt then take the risk....it truley is worth the money.
Excellent iron. September 21, 2007 Jacqui (UK) 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
This is a terrific iron. It powers through the ironing. The tank takes pint of ordinary tap water. The only problem I found was that the shot of steam button is on the right of the handle, great for left handed ironers, but awkward for me, but then the iron pushes out so much steam it's rare I need an extra shot. The flex pivots easily so is useful for left or right handed people. The ceramic plate is a real boon, no scorching or burning. An excellent iron!!
Half the chore it used to be June 26, 2007 Mrs. S. M. Cartlidge (Central England) 21 out of 22 found this review helpful
I have never been a lover of ironing - being a busy working Mom I have heaps of the stuff! But this iron has turned it into almost a pleasure. It speeds through the hubby & sons shirts in half the time & it's a dream on jeans. Quite excellent on lower temperature stuff too. You do need to top up the steam a few times when doing a big load, but it's a small price to pay for the rest of the features. The shape of the 'nose' is great for getting into corners & round buttons. Best iron I ever owned.
