Product Description The13355 kettle from Russell Hobbs is as useful as it is stylish. It has a modern, stainless steel design and heats up in no time thanks to its 3000 W of power. The 13355 kettle is wireless, has a 1.7-litre capacity and is able to rotate 360 on its stand. Its handle has been designed with user comfort in mind, and is just as easy to pick up whether you're left- or right-handed. The removable limescale filter guarantees quick and easy maintenance, while the base has a special slot to hold the electrical cord when the 13355 is not in use.

What Which? did not say. June 1, 2008 Tony Danks (Southern England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As this kettle was one of Which?'s best buys, I bought it to replace my rapidly breaking-up old one. As a basic kettle it works well: it boils quickly so doing what a kettle is supposed to! However there are a number of points that stop this being a really good buy: 1: being metal the outside of this kettle gets very hot (unlike my former plastic one). If you want a metal body then there is not much that can be done about it (without, I guess, paying a lot more for additonal skins). 2: the light indicating that the kettle is on is not very noticable (being small and dim); however as this is a very noisy kettle it is easy to tell when it is on! (so one drawback, that of noise, counters the lack of a really good visual "on" indicator). 3: To fill the kettle the lid needs to be pulled off and this can be a little awkward as the handle is without any ridges. I particularly notice this if I have slightly damp hands (filling via the spout causes a degree of splash-back). 4: The most annoying aspect however is that there is no external indication of how full the kettle is. All in all, though, if you want a cheap(ish) basic kettle this will serve - just bear in mind the contras when looking at alternatives.
