Superb, flexible piece of kit. July 22, 2008 M. Ford Have used this toaster for a month now and found it to be excellent. The huge slot allows a wide range of things to be toasted. The switchable high and low power settings makes it easier to toast all the way through or just on the outside. Brilliant machine, a huge step forward compared to my old two slot toaster.
Possibly The Worst Toaster Ever. July 20, 2008 Wiggy (London) I had the misfortune to buy this last Thursday despite reading the reviews of Radio Mike, thinking how wrong can they be. It looks a great toaster and so versatile. However once i got it home the reviews proved alarmingly accurate, yes the elements do only touch parts of the bread resulting in a partly burnt/underdone slice of toast. I actually thought it was me and tried all the settings and burnt every slice, which resulted in my returning it and purchasing a Magimix toaster more expensive but miles better, and yes it's true that if you buy cheap you do buy twice.
Really versatile June 18, 2008 Hannah 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using this product now for about 6 months. It's brill for toasting baguettes and for warming Croissants or Pain au Chocolat - make sure it's on a low heat setting though, so it doesn't burn. Makes good Toasties too, and save getting the sandwich toaster out
More than just a toaster May 28, 2008 Mr. J. De Boer 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What the previous two reviews failed to recognise that this is more than just a toaster. Thanks to its massive adjustable slot you can fit toasted sandwiches, panini's, crossaints, bagels etc etc and it works perfectly using the lower temperature setting to gently toast your bread and melt your ingrediants. Just toasting bread its fine but when you have the versaility to do so much more you can accept this. Great idea, good design and worth 35.
Uneven cooking May 25, 2008 FrankLloydWright (Surrey, UK) As much as I like the concept of this toaster and its ease of use, I'm about to return it for the same reason as Radio MIke. When you look at the cooking element while its on you can see that some of the heating wire protrudes through the card a long way while in other areas the wire does not even poke through the card - hence uneven cooking
