I wouldn't part with money for this! April 11, 2008 Ms. C. F. Wright (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I also got this free as part of a promotion, which was great thanks to whoever organised that! However, if I was looking to purchase a water filter I wouldn't buy this one. The lid does fit, but you have to push it down quite hard and fight with it a bit to get it to stay (once it does, to be fair it is more sturdy than a Brita). The idea of having a little opening to poor the water in is better than lifting the whole lid of a la Brita, but it does mean you have to be careful pouring water in. Because of the size and shape of the actual filter, it doesn't store a lot of water in the filtered bit, so it means you have to fill it up constantly, since you can't have too much water in the unfiltered bit. The reason for that is, since the bit where you pour the water out is not fully covered, it is easy to spill the water everywhere when you pick the jug up. You also have to be super-careful when pouring or else you end up with water everywhere. Not that I'm too bothered about the digital display thing, but mine doesn't seem to work.
Poor product, look elsewhere! February 25, 2008 S. J. Bluck (UK) I also got this jug free as part of a promotion. I can't really complain at the price I paid, but I certainly would not pay 15 for it. The lid doesn't fit properly and just sits on top of the jug, and as Mrs. Gooch said in her review, it's heavy and cumbersome. Regarding the product description, it says "Gravity release easy fill lid". What does that mean exactly? That gravity is the only thing keeping the lid in place, because if so, they're spot on! If you do decide to buy one of these, the filters are available here on Amazon at a good price if you buy a year's worth in one go.
Very disapointing..stick with Brita!!! January 29, 2008 Mrs. E. L. Gooch (Norfolk UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I sent off for this Filter Jug through a newspaper promotion. I had to wait weeks for it to arrive and was delighted when at length it finally arrived. I have another water filter jug at home which I keep in the fridge and I thought I could use this one for cooking and filling the kettle etc. However much to my dismay this jug is next to useless as the lid does not fit! It is blatantly designed to fit only one way but the clips are too short and it just sits on top and has to be held on everytime you pour out the water. The instructions are next to useless and also I have not managed to find anywhere that sells the filters for this type of jug. It may look sleek, but this jug is heavy, cumbersome, poorly designed and hard to find filters for. A waste of money...I'm just glad I didnt have to pay for it.

weve had a few of these over the years from various brands, this one does the same job as most but has a great easy fill lid. Buy the double life filters they are much better value than the 30 day ones and do last 60 days..
