Only useful for small bowlsDecember 4, 2008 K. Cowling(Torquay) In my opinion there is a design fault with these scales. If you place a large bowl on the scales you cannot see the digital reading because the bowl obscures it. Ideally you should be able to add all the ingredients for a cake one after the other in a mixing bowl, but with these scales you need to weigh them in a smaller bowl first. I would recommend you buy scales where there is more distance between the displayed digits and the actual scale.
awfulDecember 4, 2008 Mr. C. Twiston Davies(uk) lasted just under 6 months then no longer able to zero or change units and before you ask yes i did change the battery and try to let it reset by removing battery for several hours on several occasions. old adage you get what you pay for avoid.
Nice Small ScaleDecember 3, 2008 London(London) I paid more than it's on sale for now. I am very happy with it's small size and flexibility for measuring different units.

I've been wanting to upgrade my old scales for some time but didn't want to spend the earth. I saw these and thought that they would do the job - and have to say since trying them I've been really impressed! They're really compact and look really good quality. They weigh in both g and oz as expected but I didn't realise that they also weigh fluid measures as well which is a real bonus. An additional plus is the "zero" function which allows you to zero the counter before adding each ingredient - my old scales didn't have this and its brilliant! For the price these are excellent and I'd highly recommend them.

For the price, this is brilliant set of scales. As one of the other reviews said, no longer do you have to bend down to look at eye level - its all there in front of you.
I particularly love the setting to zero when u have a bowl on the scales - great. I would recommend these to anyone yay
