Great!! May 1, 2008 A. Cakoiova (England) I have to say that this iron is great. Previously I owned ETA iron, and it was very average. The most annoying thing about it was the water leaking every time I did some ironing. This one is sooooo different. It has a very different finish, looks great, irons great and imporantly to me, doesnt leak at all!!!! I would highly recommend this iron to anyone who loves or hates ironning.

Simply the best iron I've ever owned - and I've owned a few.Relaible. Great results with minimum effort. Buy it!
don't buy February 25, 2008 marcello (London, UK) 1 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is made of cheap plastic. The power level knob is loose. It feels like it will come off on its own. I retuned the item the same they it arrived.
Best iron Ive ever had! February 25, 2008 C. Filtness (South of England) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ironing is a job which I do not relish, my last iron blew up right in the middle of my ironing last week, at first I was pleased about this as it meant I temporarily got out of ironing the other half that day :-) Instead I went online shopping for a new one. Rather than buying a mid range one I thought I would try one at the top of its class. Having read the reviews on Amazon (especially Mr. M. Bennett's one, which made me laugh) therefore I bought the Philips GC4340. I first used my new iron this weekend (a task I was not looking forward to as I had only completed half the ironing from last week), well I could not beleive how easy it was to glide across my clothes, and I didn't have to go over the same spot twice, I was over the moon, it is the first time I can actually say I enjoyed doing the ironing. Whilst I was ironing my Mum & Dad popped round, Mum (who irons everything) wanted to have a go - boy did I have trouble getting her to put it down. On that note I am off to purchase another Iron for my Mum and I am actually looking forward to doing my next pile of ironing (how sad is that!!!)
Very impressed February 21, 2008 Alexandra Kahotea 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have always liked the Philips irons and have previously owned a couple of other models. The latest one I owned was the 'cheaper' model of Comfort 215. I was happy with it but there is just no comparison to this model. I had a massive load of ironing to do yesterday and had I used my old iron it would have taken me almost twice as long to iron everything. I am very impressed with this iron and as a mother of a small baby there is just not enough time for all the chores at home. This iron had made my life easier. The only slight negative is that the iron is a teeny bit too heavy. But otherwise I can't fault it. I'd definitely recommend this iron to others.
