5 out of 5 stars An excellent little timer   May 6, 2008

You wouldn't think there was a great deal to say about a timer really but this one is excellent. It's a 4 channel timer with a built in digital clock. Looks clean and modern with a large clear display which is well protected by a solid looking piece of transparent plastic - no danger of accidentally damaging this display. It has lots of clearly marked buttons which all do exactly what you'd expect.

It even has a little spring loaded arm on the back which turns into a stand so you can sit the timer on your desk. Just release the stand to stick it back up on the fridge door again with the perfectly adequate magnet.

Thre's only one minor issue, the stand obscures the battery compartment so replacing batteries is a bit fiddly. It's not a serious problem, batteries last for AGES in these things but you need a fair bit of dexterity to hold the stand back while shifting batteries about.

5 out of 5 stars It doesn't like it hot!   April 2, 2008

Fantastic timer. Does everything you need and more. I never got past using two timers at the same time. Be warned however ours got ruined by it being put on top of a Microwave with a grilling element. The base melted and although the display still worked it was imposiible to start or stop so it became useless. I am just about to order another one!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent product, and very good value   March 13, 2008

Has four 'channels' with independent countdown or stopwatch. You can see which channels are running, and which is currently displayed. Each channel has one independent memory of the last countdown time. Each channel has its own alarm sound, so you can tell which alarm has triggered. It also has a 12/24 hour clock.

Design is good with sensible buttons and reasonable sized display. Not sure if magnet has been improved, because mine was perfectly adequate despite other review.

Small gripes about what it cannot do:

Each channel's memory of the last countdown time is lost if you press clear or use the stopwatch.

If two channels alarm at the same time, you cannot tell very easily.

4 out of 5 stars One of the best timer I've ever used - shame about the magnet though   March 4, 2008

This is the most perfect little timer - it had everything - ease of use, hours, nice loud alarm, basically it did everything I wanted.

But unfortunately mine is broken now. Let me tell you how it broke - it had a very flimsy magnetic attachment at the back and kept falling off the fridge door. It only took a few drops on the floor to make the back holder fall apart.
I then taped it to one of my cabinets and over time it fell again, loosening the battery compartment and I finally had to throw it away. Being dropped on the floor did it no favours, soon the buttons were starting to jar against each other.

Other than the crappy magnet, it was a wonderful timer.

5 out of 5 stars I can't believe I'm this excited by a timer.....   March 5, 2007

Having scoured the local (and not so local) high streets for a timer to meet my exact requirements, I cannot believe that this little gem exists! A clock as well as 4 timers and a stop clock! All in one little unit! all for 15 quid! This is absolutely fantastic! There is a downside however....when you get this excited over a kitchen timer, you realise how old you are!
